Denis Prager said, “Happiness is dependent on self-discipline. We are the biggest obstacles to our own happiness. It is much easier to do battle with society and with others than to fight our own nature” This is one of the reasons why I was so hard on myself about not being self discipline. Remember how I said I needed to learn self discipline on my previous entries ago? Because I have a lot of things I want to improve on in my life. However, I will admit, I lack discipline. I wanted to figure out a way to get self discipline in a way that can help me.
There were articles, entries, and videos I have looked up. Personally, the most effective is a video I have watched. I have placed the video below. If you want to learn, then totally check it out! It’s a great video and I am sure you will benefit from it as much as I did.
The number one thing I have taken from the video is imagine the type of life or person you want to be. Every time you don’t feel like going to the gym and/or eating properly, think about the body you want. Every time you want to give up learning a new language, imagine speaking it so affluently that the Spanish natives are blown away. Every time you don’t feel like practicing the guitar, think about how skilled you will be in the future.
Let your vision of your future self inspire you, in order to make the sacrifices and keep focus on your goal. That’s how I am able to work out, eat right, and if you have noticed… been blogging more and consistently. Hold on to your dream. For they are reminders of what you’re working towards to. Be patient with yourself and the process. Remember you can do this. You just have to adult one day at a time. xoxo
